Process Groups

  • Process groups provide a unique and powerful opportunity for individuals navigating similar life experiences to come together for support, understanding, and growth. Process groups leverage the therapeutic power of community and shared experience to foster a sense of belonging and mutual support that many find transformative.

  • A group of queer teens celebrate. We provide an affirming space where queer adolescents can find support and community as they explore their gender identity and sexual orientation.

    Queer Adolescents

    These groups offer a safer, supportive, and affirming space where queer adolescents can explore their identities, share their journeys, and find solidarity among peers facing comparable challenges.

    This group is led by a licensed therapist with extensive expertise and training in adolescent gender and sexual identities. Here, group members can freely engage in discussions and activities focused on identity exploration, self-acceptance, and coping with unique challenges faced by queer adolescents.

    Common topics may include navigating relationships, dealing with societal pressures, building resilience, and fostering a positive self-image. Members will have the opportunity to develop a sense of community and gain valuable insights while in an environment where they can receive validation and empathy and learn from each other’s experiences.

    Groups are divided by age: 11—13 and 14—18.

    Teens & Tweens

    Groups for teens and tweens offer a supportive and collaborative environment where young people can share their experiences, learn from others, and develop valuable coping strategies. These groups are led by a licensed therapist and are designed to provide a safe space where participants can explore their thoughts and feelings, build self-esteem, and enhance their social skills. A variety of topics are addressed, relevant to each group and the group goals. Common topics include stress management, emotional regulation, relationships with parents and peers, coping, and communication.

    Groups allow teens to see they are not alone in their struggles, which provides them with the opportunity to give and receive support. Through interactive activities, open discussions, and therapeutic interventions, teens and tweens can develop resilience and gain insights into their behaviors and emotions, and gain tools they need to navigate the challenges of adolescence.

    Groups are divided by age: ages 11—13 and ages 14—18.

    Narcissistic Abuse and Antagonistic Relationship Survivors

    For those healing from narcissistic abuse or antagonistic relationships experienced in their childhood and/or as adults, process groups serve as a resource for recovery and empowerment where survivors can openly discuss their experiences and the impact of the abuse, breaking the isolation often imposed by such relationship dynamics. This group is led by a licensed therapist who is a certified narcissistic abuse treatment clinician and has training in trauma and abuse recovery.

    This group provides a safe space for group members to share their experiences, learn about the dynamics of narcissistic abuse, and support other group members in the healing process. Common topics include recognizing patterns of manipulation and control, gaslighting, rebuilding self-esteem, grief, and reclaiming a sense of self.
